I was using these http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?PartnerID=79&ModelID=757 ODI Yeti lock-on’s but found them painful after a while, even when wearing those spesh gloves with the extra padding down the bottom right of your hand.

Then tried these http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk/ergon-grips-gp1-gripshift-id40739.html Ergon’s and have found them really comfy but find that my hands sometimes slip off the grips on fast technical stuff.

Can anybody recommend something that might be comfy but a bit easier to hand ontoin the rough stuff?

Odyssey Keyboards, with the flange cut off.
I just don’t like the feel of lock-ons, feel too fat.

    Question..

Do you like fat grips, or thin grips?

If you like fat grips, then Lizard Skin Logo Lock ons are what you want.

If you like thin grips, then ODI Ruffians.

They need to be comfy for my girly sensitive bits at the base of my hand, it’s comfort rather than thickness that’s important

Yeah, but we’ve all got different shape hands and fingers, same as we have everything else. The saddles I prefer to use may not suit your arse in the slightest!

General rule of thumb is the bigger your hands are, and longer your fingers, the thicker the grip you will need. But that said I’ve met guys with farmers hands who like to use skinny grips, and girls with small hands who like using fat grips.

    Try a few, it’s a VERY personal thing I’m afraid…

ESI chunky silicone grips. by far the best i have used, not loc-on but eay to install/remove with window cleaner. never slip in the wet either.

I love my ODI Ruffians, fairly thin and comfy although I thought that may not be because of the pattern on the grip.

My latest grips are http://www.pedalon.co.uk/acatalog/bonti_rl_slim_grip_blk.html and I like them even more than the Lizard skin peaty one’s I had before, really comfy and grippy.

ODI rogue for me. One of the biggest grips you can get.

completely stopped all my hand/wrist pain. I don’t have huge hands either.

Ergon GX1’s for me , i did the Dyfi Enduro yesterday with some pretty tricky decents and had no problem with my hands slipping at all

Second ESI’s so much better than anything else I have used, don’t move so other than the ease or removal or fitting, have the benefits lock on’s but with out the hand pain of lock on rings! Plus very light.
