Good credit rating? M&S will do you a loan for 6%, given that inflation is 4.8% that’s pretty good in my book*

Owing money from paying for a wedding isn’t the best way to start off marriage…, spend less.

Find a woman that’s happy with a more modest event.

Save for 2 or 3 years then get married……..or is it not that simple ?

If you are a good credit risk then Zopa would be my first stop, an “in principle” offer from Zopa will not affect your credit rating so its worth asking. Don’t be offended if Zopa turn you down, its “real peoples” money they are lending so they have stricter criteria than normal banks.

Zopa lends money on either 3 yrs or 6yrs but there is NO PENALTY for early repayment (wheras normally there is no advantage to repaying a bank early).
