i would assume so juan. Ive cut about 60mm off bars before and still been able to fit controls very far inboard for one finger braking.

Last week one of your fellow british with a super-wide bar got a massive crash because he clipped a tree.
I clipped more trees when I was using narrower bars.

Then i swiped Ed O's ragley for a swift blatt at Lee quarry....
Guess what's up front on my patriot now

bike designing is a doddle. You get the catalogue from Taiwan, close your eyes and pick a page at random and say "I want that one"
Posted 1 year ago # -
you don't even need the catalogue. it's all online.

Well, the stays are certainly unconventional. Good to see people willing to try new things. Brant - is the bend just to give space for the caliper to mount to the chainstay then?

that looks great
anyone want my old one lol

"stiffer dropouts"
I NEED those, dropout flex is the bane of my life

I really like that - I guess the 44mm headtube thing gives all the functionality of all the other headset sizes without looking like having a mug stuck the front of your bike.
Posted 1 year ago # -
Hmm, I'm sure I've seen seat stays like that somewhere before...
Posted 1 year ago # -
Bleugh....
Proof is in the riding though.
also, what other colour schemes?
Posted 1 year ago # -
Yeah, stays are similar to the ones 18bikes offer on their custom frames.
All in all, lots of good things that have appeared on custom or small run bikes before, it's the combination of them all, in a fairly volume product that's nice.
44mm headtubes on production steel frames a very good move indeed.

So Brant - how much weight have you managed to lose off the Blue Pig?
Posted 1 year ago # -
Yeah, stays are similar to the ones 18bikes offer on their custom frames
And OS Bikes Blackbuck before that...Posted 1 year ago # -
so, this talk of new headsets then- the pig et al are going to have what looks externally to be a similar diameter to 1.125 headtubes, but will use a(nother!!!!) headset standard to enable use of tapered (and 1.5"?) forks.
So is the same as, and backward compatible with zero stack?Posted 1 year ago # -
And OS Bikes Blackbuck before that...
Nah, they're quite different; constant radius bent stays a bit like a Retrotec.

it looks like a 1980's Hutch freestyler or a DP Firebird..............and bloody awful.
