Who knows what happens when you over-tighten a Mavic axle trying to remove that last little bit of free play from the free hub?!

Does anyone know where I can get a new axle for a set of Mavic cross max SSC SL’s?

I don’t know exactly what year, but they look are these:

Any mavic dealer will be able to order the right bits in, all they’ll need is the number off the rim (by the little bar code)
That gives all the details required to make sure the right bits arrive.
