    OK this one has me stumped. Anyone know what’s the answer is (& why)

    Thanks

    Bob James has 4 cats and 3 dogs and lives at number 8
    Jim Arch has 5 cats and 2 dogs and lives at number 9
    Mike Smith has 5 cats and 2 dogs and lives at number 6

    How many cats and dogs does Geoff Leeward have and
    what number does he live at?

    It’s based on number of letters in name, number of consanants = cats, number of vowels = dogs. not worked out relationship between number of letters and house number…

    Do you think it’s significant that all those first names are short versions?

    Made up puzzle. No correct answer. Where do I get my £5

    … or Geoff Leeward is a real person and just need to know where he lives and what is in his menagerie

    Unique consanants = cats
    Unique vowels = dogs.

    Turn the letters into numbers and subtract the smaller starting letter from the bigger starting letter and you get the house number. {edit as in a = 1, j = 10, z = 26}

    So I am going for 3, 6 & 5.

    Thanks Lab Wormy

    The house number thing would have had me stumped forever

    I’ll content myself with the belief I would have got the vowels vs consanants eventually 😉
