PushLoc is it worth it?

Right back on to the new spec for my 5, race enduros on it so weight is an issue fully built up last year it was 26.6lbs, and was happy with that. RP23 at the back doesn't lock, 2010 Revs U-turn with Pushloc £575 no PushLoc £480.

Is pushloc really worth it? or could it be an upgrade afterwards?

They are replaceing 08 TALAS' which have suffered standard stantion wear! Would have perfered to keep the 100-130 of the Talas but 120 Min should be fine for the ups of the Alps and 150mm will be great for the downs

hate to say it, but an orange 5 isnt the lightest or fastest of frames...

but to answer the question, it isnt worth £95 if you dont use it, and probably isnt even if you do... i like it though =)

I really like the poploc remote on my revs but I'd be tempted to not use it if I had to pay £95 for it!

I reckon I'd buy the one without and then post on here asking for someone who wants to swap their pushloc cartridge to one with the fork top remote (eg yours!) as it's a very easy swap (just unscrew it!)

worth it IMO, didn't have it on my Reba's but have it on my SID's.

Not having to sod around taking hands off bars to lock the fork is a brilliant, especially in the summer with fingerless gloves on - easier on my baby soft fingers

I have one on my reba's and never used it, i binned it once and snaped it off and i have never missed it.

so in a word NO it is not worth getting, but then again it is personal prefrence...

Your right but it's bullit proof reliable, and mine comes in at about 26lb, so not that heavy. Nor am I the lighest of riders at 14-15stone but it has got me near and in the top 10 for some 6hr/100km enduro races and I'd choose it over the Giant Anthem X1 I was given to ride by a sponsor, so ultimately whatever the bike whatever the weight if your fast and competitive on it who cares!

Anyway I was being blonde with my fork question, I made the assumption that without PushLoc it didn't lock! So it will be just like my Fox forks when I have to lean over to lock it out!

I never use the lockout on any of the forks I have with it. Being a sit and spin type rider I simply get no issues with bob so don't need the lockout
