Incredible last run there. just how fast do these folks go. You do get the impression that the bikes do make a big difference as some seemed to bounce around a lot but the bikes of Gee and Steve seems to just stick to the ground

I would happily watch that again….and will!!
Gee and Steve seemed streets ahead of the others, fully composed and on the nail. Can’t deny a bit of bad luck to Hart and Bulldog but that’s racing, all about riding your luck (pun intended).
    Loving this years DH!!!!

The bar has definitely been raised this year. Big fan of Stevie Smith and chuffed he is having such a good start but the Athertons are just awesome!

First two races have been a fantastic advert for the sport. Looking forward to the next round.

I honestly didnt think Gee would manage to beat the time put down, so many people were getting caught out trying to push harder. Really impressed how well he held it on line, clean and quick.

Really enjoyed watching it today – standard of camerawork and streaming is spot on now, as good as any televised sport, you get to see everything. Fantastic race too, so many riders looking fast but going down – especially gutted to see Danny Hart crash, he took off like a rocket.

standard of camerawork and streaming is spot on now,

I think the use of remote cameras (Go-Pro’s?) in the trees on really close to the track is great too, more of that please!

Rob’s repeated use of co-commentators nick name, a nice touch to proceedings I thought ?

    couldnt watch live,
watching the repeat on a sunday evening is fantastic, good work athertons.

agree a couple of the bikes seems to hold a line better through the rough, bike/tuning/rider, who knows

Finished watching verdict is Atherton is on fire, Gwinn under pressure.
Good to see minaar back up there and disappointed for Sam Hill.

Of the rest a great run from Bryceland was a high point. Can’t help thinking Darry ‘ART is believing a bit too much of the stuff people write about him, do or die is unlikely to work against that stacked a field on a dry track. Despite the number of mistakes there were still some solid runs up there.

It looked like there were 5/6 genuine contenders and another 10/20 who were trying to luck out and go balls out win or 60th/Ambulance….

There was a little bit of audio from Sam Hill on crashing, and how dry and dusty is was they didn’t get to practice in the afternoon evenings so it turned out to be even dryer than they had been practicing by the time it got to the race runs which could explain why so many went down.
