I need some help from the STW darksiders.

I need to get an christmas present for my brother who is a style obsessed roadie (and part time mtber) with a full carbon Storck bike, etc, etc.

We usually get each other a gift of ~£25 but this year I’m stumped.

Any (sensible) ideas for a biking related gift gratefully received.

    Cheers,

    + 1 for Rapha

They’ve started doing skincare stuff which is “pocket money” for them I guess…

Castelli Risvolto Winter Cycling Cap at here http://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=X0559 and other places. Just bought one, warm looks good and Caestelli is good kit but a little more unusual than Assos and Rapha

    More like half a year….

Discovered yesterday that Rapha’s turnover is around £7 million a year. Good on them.

Rapha caps are around the £25 mark.

And very stylish, even if I do say so myself 😉

Exactly what I was going to say, I have one and it’s great because you don’t get itchy head and it’s not the kind of thing you’d normally get yourself

nah, if you’re after getting him a book i’d go for either tim krabbe’s the rider or paul fournel’s need for bike which, for the road inclined i’d go so far as to say are the best cycling books i’ve ever read.

alternatively laurent fignon’s autobiography is excelent. failing those maybe tim hilton’s one more k and we’re in the showers, a bit niche yes, but still quality if that’s what he’s into.

me, i’m hoping i’m getting jean bobet’s tomorrow, we ride for crimbo

Just buy the self obsessed roadie a saveloy from the chip shop to stick down his self obsessed lycra for when he’s finished mincing on a turbo trainer all winter. 😉

Haze do you reckon? Belgian caps were pretty bulky, and the team images show them worn without a lid.

See them worn under helmets quite often these days, particularly in the winter months.

I also remember at few when it pissed down at the Giro Di Lombardia this year…

Maybe they’re made from lighter materials now, I know my Rapha fits nicely under mine.

Ah confused myself, I thought you meant those thick double knit winter hats not trade caps.
I’ve still got one of those winter hats from thirty years ago, funny how fashions change.

I have a cheapy Decathlon one, which is worn plenty at this time of year. Does squeeze under a lid (just).

I also have a NOS Raleigh one from the 1970s unearthed by Prendas. 80% wool FTW…!
