Having lost my mojo a bit lately, I’m willing to try a bout of bike-buying to see if that’ll help get me back out the door. And it’s a play bike that’s tempting me.

What’s concerning me is that being slightly over 6 foot tall, anything I get might feel more like a clown bike rather than being chuckably fun. Guess I’m hoping to hear that there are other tall lanky folk out there on kid-sized bikes.

At the moment it’s the Charge Stove that I’m looking at due to its 26″ wheels. But these seem to be getting rarer than McLaren F1 points, so are 24″ wheeled bikes still likely to be rideable? And any fully-rigid, singlespeed, “big BMX”-like bikes recommended?

    Many thanks

I’m 6ft1’ish and my ‘play’ hardtail is 13.5″ with a 22.5″ top tube and fits perfectly for it’s use, nearly same length top tube as my old bmx.
