I have planet-x/on-one quick release skewers on a couple of front wheels, and have noticed on a few occasions that they have come alarmingly loose.
disaster has so far been avoided thanks to the old lawyers lips on me forks, but it is rather unnerving while caning down the side of ben nevis to have the front wheel all but leave the drop outs.
anyway, has anyone else noticed this?
it's happened on various forks, and with the qr done up tight as fook.
i've kind of come to the conclusion that it's caused by disc braking forces....

If it's done up tight as fook, do you need a new, tighter fook?
EDIT- no, not noticed it. Not sure how braking forces could undo a skewer or QR either.Posted 2 years ago # -
OK - I'll put the kettle on & tip the worms out
