Now that Photobucket has pulled the plug, unless you pay stacks, who are you using to host your photos that link in to here?

How do you embed photos to sites? I failed miserably when I tried.

My own web server. Cheap enough and leaves me in control.

Are you able to upload to your own web server from Android?

(I guess you could just use something like WebDAV?).

Can do it with a NAS that has photo storage, web site for viewing and maybe apps for uploading/syncing. e.g. Synology does that stuff.

However given security issues in the past (ransomware attack on Synology boxes) due to poor security and slow updates, I’d be wary about letting my NAS anywhere near the public Internet.

By web server I mean hosted – not sat in my house although that is a challenge I’m looking at. Yes I use File Commander to get photos from phone to internet.

A good commercial grade Nas is a possibility also. May properly configure mine to do so.
