Looking at getting a Pace RC305, and wondered if there's any point paying 50-60 quid more for the anodised frame? I'd really like it in black, but that's just a cosmetic choice, what else am I gaining?

I dabbed on a well slippy rock and dropped the bike on it. The rear seat stay scrapped on the rock and there was no mark on the finish. Also stones that bounce up and hit the downtube do not effect it either.
