  • Outlook 2007 question – automagically print sent items?

    Hello,
Is there a way to automatically print sent items (and ideally their attachments) in Outlook 2007? It seems you can do it for incoming items via the rules function but nothing for outgoing.

    Thanks!

When sending, bcc yourself in and use the rules to print the incoming email.

It is paperless, I promise! They get printed to pdf & then filed on a server so there’s a record of correspondence.

(FTR, it’s a pain in the ar$e and if I could change the rules, I would)

Sounds like what you want there is an email server.

We had a similar process in my last job. We had a “file copy” email address and all outgoing email (to customers) went there. In the subject line you had to put the customer’s name. I’m sure other neater ways exist now, but it seemed simple and effective enough and a lot easier than trawling through PDFs.
