as above sorry I am colour blind
just noticed on a road near me 2 large orange / red boxes on the road
with a empty post next to them .

are these some other way to roger the motorist in the name of safety.

Maybe they're something new to stop inequitable road use.
I do feel so sorry for all those poor motorists and the things stopping them from doing what they want on the road.

They are there to allow you to show beam patterns and light throw from your lights…you stand on one side of the carriageway and see how much of the paint you can bubble off the post on the other side!

    new speed restriction boundary?

WHite circle and "30" will appear on the red patches and post will have a "30" sign put on it either side of the road?

There's something they are testing in NW Spain which is a pattern of little white boxes painted on the hard shoulder of the motorway that turn red when the temperature drops below a certain level to advise you of potentially icy conditions.

Doesn't sound like that but just thought I would share it.
