Just got a new Cotic Sould frame and some nice shiny Hope Tech brakes. I am running AM – Pro 3 wheels with a 4 four bolt 180mm disc. No good then that teh brake comes with a 183mm 6 bolt disc. Should have thought of that one sooner. I’m sure I can sort it out, but it is bother as I’ll end up with the old 180mm 4 bolt disc I can’t use.

Seems impossible to do things on the cheap!

Surely a 180 and 183mm disc will work OK on the same caliper? Maybe you just need a slightly different Hope adaptor bracket for the disc mount?

Try the 180 – bet it will work. Sell the other.

Thanks for the advice, but I have a bit of an OCD for things like this. I am getting a 183 rotor now. I am sure it would work with a 180, but I think you would get some spurious pad wear.

Just means I’ll have to wait a bit longer until I can get some forks sorted. Frame looks sweet though – I can now see what you pay for! Shame for it to be gathering dust whilst I sort stuff out for it.

Couldnt you just have sliced 1.5mm off each post mount on the adapter…

Think i would have shamfered the pad a little,Nor sure 1.5mm is worth cahnging rotors for.
