Numpty needs jockey wheels

Mine are like throwing stars at the moment. I have an XT rear mech but looking at CRC they seem pretty expensive.

So couple of quick question.

Which one is guide and which one is tension ?
DO I have to use XT wheels or will the cheapo ones do ?

Guide (floating) is top. The difference across the range is bushes/bearings; otherwise they're the same.

I just got a set of tacx jockey wheels for my xt mech. I hear they wear out quicker, but I needed new ones on a low budget. £10 i believe.

the bbb rollerboys (i think thats the name of them??) get a lot of good reviews, or if you want cheap kcnc stylee ones

ive been using my kcnc ones for 2 1/2 years and theyve been spot on! look great too!!

get some BBB ones from dotbike - they run on bearings and are lovely.

I just ordered some TACX ones for my XT mech for just under a tenner off ebay. They do wear out a quicker than proper Shimano jobbies, but at the price it's not a major concern.
