i have a set of 700cc wheels that came with my nice new darksider, I am going to use a set of Mavic Kyserium (spelling) on the new bike so plan to use the new ones on a CX'er I am building up from bits. thing is can you just plop on some CX tyres and of you go, or are these "roadie" wheels going to just not be up to the job?
think i sort of know the answer.....but asking anyway!

Most road wheels are up to the job of CX unless you're a bit of a biffer (and even then it's usually ok). I've certainly had no problems on some fairly light wheels even at 16 stone.
What wheels are they?
Ksyrium BTW

they are Shimano R500 wheels that came as standard on my road bike, pretty sure the Ksyrium are better for road use so thought i would try them out on the CX! I am less than 12 stone and aim to be 11 soon!!!! so looks as if they will be ok. Now any ideas for tyres?
