I’ve ridden the basic North Third route a couple of times roughly as the route below but I’ve always felt like I was missing something especially when cycling along the road to the south end of the reservoir. Its a little on the short side too so it would be good to extend the ride a little. Great route though!

There appears to be a few trails disappearing east from the cliffs and plenty of trails on the 1:25K map around Sauchieburn. Is there anything worthwhile in these and can you link up to the end of the reservoir? Or is there anything else I may be missing?

Oh, I thought this was going to be another Mornington Crescent game starting off.

when you get to 770907 on the road you can cross the Bannock Burn and follo its South bank on some single track. This will take you up to fire road where you turn right and you end up athe the dam of the res’. ride over the dam (heading West) and then ride round the res’ to climb up to the start of the cliff edge trail.
