Cotic do a green (with wrap graphic) now, me want

Stem is hurtung my eyes a bit, kind of hoping it wasn't also on the Stumpy
Not sure I'd have a 31.6? thomson in a hardtail. IMO Id have shimmed a 27.2 carbon something in it

Nice wee bike. That BFE logo is... odd and the metal logos on the down tube look cluttered against the brand logo (seat tube surely?), they look a tad guff, that'll be my job (work in an ad agency) point of view getting involved! But I'm sure that won't stop it being a fun bike!

Only the down tube is 853, hence putting the decal on that tube and not the seat tube.

Nice looking bike, I like the new logos but prefer the old ones. Cotic always seem to get thier colours spot on. Love my BFe, amazing frames.

One of my frames came back from the poweder coater with some on the threads, renton. I just used a stanly knife and followed the thread. Came out ok, if you can't wait to get it to a LBS.

Loving the green, but prefered the old period table style BFe logo me thinks.

Damo

Cotic say it has been faced and chased, you cam sort of see around the outside where paint has been machines off.

Not sure of weight but I'm sure it is lighter than the full suss frame it replaced.

Rear rotor is 180mm fits fine on the frame .

I'm glad it doesnt look to gate like to which I was a bit worried about !!

Fingers crossed the new bottom bracket goes in ok, not convinced as the start of the threads look a bit wonky and I can't see a definitive start to it, will have to see how it goes.

Will post more pics when its full built.

Cheers

Steve

Turn it backwards whilst pushing gently until you feel it click as the end of the threads pass each other. Then gently turn it the other way (clockwise on RH thread, anti on LH thread) whilst applying almost no pressure. Good luck!

Cheers.

I did try that and it just wouldnt go in.

You can't tell from the photos of it but I can't actually see a start to the thread.

Going to take it to the local shop as i can't afford to keep buying new bottom brackets.

Cheers

the thread on the drive side of mine looks perfect and the bb cup went in fine.

Non drive side is as it looks in the picture, I can't see a definitive start to the thread and the first few threads are a bit rough.

going to get it chased and fitted at the lbs as I don't want to ruin it or another bb.

have you rode it yet ?

Stephen,
How long is the fork that you are using? 140 or 150?
If it is a sektor, How much do you weight and how "soft" do you feel the coil? Some people told me that foe somebody that weights 13 stones it might be too soft!

Its the dual poaition 140/120 Fork,
I am 14 stone and yes i fell the spring is too soft so i keep the compression open only about half way and that seems to work, i will be getting stiffer spring in them when they are due serviced though.

I'm sure they're really fantastic bikes but I can't really get excited about a green hardtail.

@pesse - I have 150/120 Sektor's on my BFe and they are about right. I weigh 12 stones 4 (78 kg)

@iolo - get a gritstone one then, or the blue (older model) - they look great in blue
