In our case, the company refused to reply to any requests for insurance or CEO details. We contacted the Police. They came and had a look , said they would follow it up. The next day the three of had a look at what needed fixing. I had an endless chain, fence posts and some scaffold boards. We figured it would be much easier just to get the job done rather than go the litigious route.

All comms so far have been delay tactics, information supplied so far has been incomplete, turns out the address given by the driver is a business address owned by our neighbour, the assumption being that it is probably a company car.

My analysis of the situation is the neighbour is deliberately attempting to avoid a settlement to the accident

Tell your household insurance and let them deal with it. Life’s too short.

Surely you know the address of your neighbour? Try adding 1 to your house number and look up on google maps.
