    Hello All,

Bit of a boring subject I know but can anyone recommend a decent set of mudguards for commuting? I have a 1996 Trek 6000, which has slicks 1.85 width on.

Just want them for the wet days as I have nothing at the moment. Don’t want to spend anymore than £15 really. Seen some SKS Beavertails for £12.99 on CR. Would they do the trick?

    Cheers in advance.

basically get proper full guards much better than beaver tails etc..

leave them on over winter take them off in the summer.

SKS Chromoplastic are best… but they are over budget.

BUT they do a Budget version for £16

Beavertails are rubbish. Something like what rootes said is better and should be cheap. I picked up a full-length set from my local halfords-type store for a little less than £10, and they’re great.
