Wondered if anyone can recommend a make of MTB SPD shoes which are wider than normal fitting.

My feet are size 7 (sometimes 6 1/2) but wide. Have had Shimano in size 8 but they were too narrow and had to stop using them. Currently using Specialized BG in size 9 which are just about wide enough. Any ideas ?

    Thanks

Spesh are fairly wide, to be honest. Worth looking at a Sidi Mega as well, if you're after more of a race type shoe.

How long have you had the spesh BGs?

I've found specialized shoes will give a little in time and so stop 'pinching' the sides of your feet

find the new shimano m161w a lot wider at toe box area. My feet are size 7/7.5 trainers and bought these in an 8 and are fine

thanks guys – had the specialized just over a year but had to go 2 sizes up and they're a bit worse for wear now as I use them for commuting as well – I'll have a look

I believe sidi make some of their shoes in a Mega (wide) fitting. I think Lake also offer their shoes in a wide option.
