Having a bit of a problem with my msn , I can sign in fine but when it go's online it shuts down the homepage displaying the online contacts list. Then if I move my cursor across to the windows live symbol in the status bar it disappears and effectivly closes the application.
Any ideas anyone ?. I was thinking of unistalling and then reinstalling , I can sign in on the old windows messenger without a problem and it works fine but its windows live messenger that we use all the time to speak with family overseas

That would be my first port of call. Live Messenger is a PITA for not letting you do a repair install, the only option you've got is to remove and reinstall.

If you're still having problems, I'd suggest a malware scan. A chkdsk can't hurt either (right-click your C: drive in My Computer, go to Properties, Tools, check disk. Tick the first box, not the second, then answer 'yes' and reboot when it complains that it can't access the disk).
