My grass in my back garden is basically now a blanket of moss, apart from re turfing or laying astrograss what’s the best way to kill and reseed my lawn?

    Very STW specific question.

    Change the conditions?

More light less competition for water etc.

    Then rake rake rake.

Ok how about heavy moss growth on the roof tiles (red clay)

That would be good natural insulation 🙂

Any tips on encouraging moss? It feels so much nicer than grass underfoot and looks quite nice too. And it seems to cope with three months of rain far better than the crappy grass does!

Wet and forget. No good for lawns though it will kill the grass.

After 15 yrs of trying, I now embrace the moss. Not much topsoil and heavy clay bed means I am /have been fighting a losing battle.
