When bleeding brakes/forks/posts etc is it the done thing to mix fluids in them?
New bike came with a rockshox reverb bleed kit but nothing to bleed the fork damper or the brakes.

I’m pretty sure they all have the same thread (not checked but will) but obviously there are different oils involved. Main concern is mixing dot 5.1 on the brakes and mineral oil for the post. Given a good wash after use is this likely to be OK or can traces of either oil cause problems?

I’ve got a million different syringes & bits of pipe already and I always forget which is which… would like to keep to one pair if possible.

Mixing fluids is bad news I think it makes a thick gunk.
I have always been wary of this, but other peeps clean theirs with isopropanol and seem perfectly happy. I reckon if pushed I would be happy to clean it with lashings of hot water and a bit of washing up liquid, liberally rinse and ensure totally dry.. But given the choice I have always gone for a separate syringes.
