They had a paediatricion on there as a contestant, but the subtitles and voice-over kept referring to him as a 'childrens doctor'! WTF was all that about? Were they …

    a) Worried people might confuse paediatrician with another word beginning with the same four letters

    or

    b) Worried people might not know what it means?

Either way I think it's a bit lame.

Strange thing is, when the judges talked to him they used the P word.

wondered the same – thought it was quite strange as the target audience for the programme must be fairly well educated middle class people.

he was rather amusing though – every time he smiled he looked like he was gonna cry – felt almost sorry for him – good cook though (along with the other bloke who went through)

enjoyed watching the cocky young bloke in the 1st round say he thought he could win, and then serve up raw fish. highly funny.

also saw this, and thought it was well funny. like the voice over person hadn't heard of one, and thought someone was pulling the wool over their eyes.

    here we have a ped… a what???… oh right a children's doctor…

also amused that 60% of all female entrants are quite hot.

There was actually a case where a paediatrician had his house vandalised due to a 'slight mix up' by one of the hard of thinking locals. Bet he wishes he'd have been called a 'childrens doctor'!
