On windows, in a finder window, if you held shift and clicked on two files, it used to select those two files, and any in-between. Is there a mac equivalent apart from dragging a box round them?

err, it's just the same- select the first file, hold shift down, and click on the last.

    Ditto.

Command key for the same behaviour as ctrl-selection in windows.
