Not amazing coz they were taken handheld, but I had fun taking them!

Please tell me you're joking...... Microsoft paint?
With a 300mm lens, couldn't you have gotten a picture that close by cropping a full size image, rather than zooming?
My first pic is a cropped image with a 200mm lens, no magnifying.
How odd - its upside down from Australia
Couple of nights ago - havent got a full moon pic yet. might go and have a look in a bit!
Lunar Eclipse from a couple of years ago:

Here's one from when it snowed last year, taken up by the Uffington White Horse:
What I find a bit disappointing is the way that few of you are using any imagination in these photos. Its always square on, Tycho in the bottom right-type stuff.
How about tying to take a picture from a different perspective, say, from behind the dark side, go on, I challenge you

Tonight's moon piccies:

Messing about with an old Tokina 500mm F8 mirror lens.
Some excellent pictures, here is mine.
Dirtybike, how do you get the correct exposure for the tree without the moon being overexposed?
