Hit and miss I know, but tonight it'll be hit.
She's on it and I'm rather excited.

I rather like the song (heard a few times on the radio), but I suspect it'll get killed through overplay.

the mother-in-law wouldnt believe me that the saggy old bald man really was Peter Gabriel, despite him signing Gabriel tracks..

Full length repeat Jools Holland is on Friday night, so presumably Lana Del Rey will have done another, possibly this one that's being released aswell, just with piano and strings tho, of course.

She was awful. Really pitchy and mediocre.
Little Roy was great

Cheer up love, you're on telly

Yes, she was struggling with nerves it appeared, on her debut TV live appearance, quivering voice in places, eyes flickering, shuffling on her feet. Not particularly my sort of music anyway TBH, but I'm interested to see where it all ends up for her, now DebZ has started this thread. She;s got the looks, the voice and writes her own material, but the same as thousands of others I expect, she might be old news in 6months or a superstar. She seems to have already divided opinion due to initially appearing to be a youtube sensation, but then appearing to have big record industry backing, or not, it's not quite clear how much of it is her and how much is managers, PR agents, A&M records. She claims to have made the youtube vids herself, but In fairness, I'm not surprised if she's already been snapped up.

Yes, actually, you are. What's the licence fee got to do with a musician appearing on a music show with a bunch of other musicians? It's Gabriel's orchestra, or weren't you paying attention? As for tosh, I suggest you get back to your Saturdays and Girls Aloud CD's. Leave the quality music for the grown-ups.Posted 7 months ago # -

I couldn't disagree more, she was real, yes nervous to start with, but carried it through. I thought it was quite refreshing in a world of lip-syncing and autotune.Posted 7 months ago # -
Yep she can sing, I liked her too but god she could cheer up a bit a?
Stick her name into Google images there are pages and pages of her looking bloody miserable, lighten up love

... but you don't really get either of those things on Later... we did get the Civil Wars, and Little Roy and I think she looked a bit out of her league compared with them. Peter Gabriel is a bit marmite I guess.

Didn't think Peter Gabriel was all that good, in fact I FFw'd through him, but out of tune and pitch methinks, still good for an aging rocker but felt he needed the orchestra to cover up the wobble in his voice.
As for the Program.. It's utterly brill, this is exactly the sort of show that the BBC should be producing, that and all the stuff on BBC4

Lana Del Ray is amazingly good and impossibly cool.

I think I saw a different show.
