    I said Id help a mate by bleeding his brakes for him 🙁

    I thought was getting somewhere but Im back to zero, any real world tips not tinternet.

    1 – Ensure all bubbles are out of the fluid prior to bleeding.
    2 – Screw out leaver reach adjustment so there is more pull on the brake.
    3 – follow the bleed guides on YouTube to the letter.

    See my post in this thread. It’s the same method for Juicys as for Elixirs but Juicy pistons tend to get stuck more.

    Oh no, and here’s me sat here reading this and I’ve volunteered to bleed a mates Exilair 7’s. Are they going to be a pita or what?

    Yes. I hate bleeding avoids.

    Not looked at bleeding instructions for these in a while but I do remember that in one of the early versions, it didn’t mention the need to finish the lever bleed by pushing fluid in to expand the bladder reservoir. I know that used to catch some people out.

    Cheers Shedfull I will retry tomorrow with a clear head and fresh fluid. I think your right in that Shimano are alot more forgiving re; air in the system.

    When bled, if they’re not 100%, pull the levers back to the bars over night and hold with elastic bands and they’ll be purrrfect in the morning.
