    Ahhh, so the bike is supported by rollers in the shelves at the top of the wheel? So the distance from ground to the “shelf” is constant, so the wheel hubs go up and down but the bike doesn’t.
    So you get a smooth ride, ish.
    I think.
    So no, it is not a stupid idea, it is in fact a clever idea, far to clever for a bicycle in fact, so that could actually make it a stupid idea on reflection.

    Interesting bit of styling, but it is a bit like the chap who used to ride round Huddersfield on a moped that had a toilet seat and helecopter rotor blades.

    It designed to make riding a bike harder and thus giving you a better work out…. (prehaps someone should tell him riding further is also good for you!)
