    Can the phone be used as a wireless modem to connect another device to the Internet ie laptop

    Make sure it is plugged in, the battery will last about 30 minutes

    And make sure your tarrif allows for thethering, otherwise it might cost you a packet!

    Yes. But you need to buy this ability in your contract. It costs extra. Unless your phone’s jailbroken in which case there might be workarounds. You might be better off getting a MiFi device as that can provide WiFi to up to 5 things at the same time with the same sluggish 3G data rates.

    Do you mean to connect via wifi (your laptops wifi doesnt work or something) or via 3g?
