We got our Mac with a 3 yr warranty, which has proved useful, because my wife was in the NUS at the time. Might be worth googling as you may get discounts and extended warranty if she buys direct from apple

All the good ones have non-flash mobile sites or use Flash video that plays fine in the SkyFire browser (which has a private surfing mode too).
