How does “it” arrive on my phone? Just asking as somedays I can’t get it.

One thing you might try is putting the phone into and out of aeroplane mode (or rebooting it). The theory is that this will force it to search for the strongest signal. It should do this automatically anyway so in practice who knows; worth trying though perhaps.

Essentially it uses celular data networks to transfer the info on the internet. Networks put cellular data masts around to provide the service, more so in denser populated areas like cities etc, hence why it’s slower Internet in more remote areas.

Wifi is a good alternative where if your lucky enough you can pick up a free wifi network from a cafe, restaurant etc.

Its that my phone is in the same place as is the mast.
I was wondering what happens in between. They probably stick the same amount of signal out so how does it go missing at times?

Signal strength can fluctuate, according to number of users accessing that particular cell tower, AFAIA.
