loads of differant 29r bikes, but you were a bit of a k n o b and had sold em all, and then you decided that you wanted to buy another 29r frame to build up, what frame would you buy?

I'd buy a Niner WFO as I think a long travel 29" all mountain bike would be ace fun

New steel Jones diamond ,best 29er hardtail ride imho
Posted 11 months ago # -
How bout that carbon niner that was being discussed earlier?
edit: here we go
Posted 11 months ago # -
RealMan - that is a doozy, and almost (almost!) makes me think a clown bike would be right for me...
Posted 11 months ago # -
that WFO looks awesome. i bet that is serious fun downhill.

Apologies, I didn't mean to cause such harm.

ton-51/2" on a 29er would feel like about a gazillion miles of travel, you could ride over cars like a monster truck and not even notice them under the mighty wheels of truth

I'll be getting rid of my last remaining 26er for one of these when they're available.

XC mincing or FS blasting ton?
for the former, one of those lynskey twisty tube jobs. nice.
And for the latter, if I weren't in love with my El Cap, the only other that could drag me away is a Tracer T29. Lovely bike that, in black, and getting amazing reviews.

Which one do you regret getting rid of the most??
Posted 11 months ago # -
I do like the ellsworth evolve 120mm 29er as well
Posted 11 months ago # -

I was going to insert a witty pic of a clown but google images shows a pic of a Jones if you search for 'clown bike'.

I had a go on a Lynskey Ridgeline 29 last week and it's flippin' awesome! So light yet really planted and stable. Want one

Posted 11 months ago # -
wow, that's almost as ugly as a Jones. achievement indeed.
Posted 11 months ago # -
Trek/Gary Fisher Superfly, it's the only 29er I've thought "I'd like that", no ideas if it's any cop.
Posted 11 months ago # -
Truly hideous
Edit: that orangey coloured thing

Canfield Nimble 9. I've got a Yelli Screamy and it's ace. Si (Progressive) not bringing in the N9 though

I thought this post was about me!! regretably I'm looking for a buyer for my beloved Niner Air 9, 19" frame, X9, Reba RLT's, Tubeless, KMC Chain, Hope BB, Hope seat QR, Hope X2 brakes to briefly spec it. Bought it in Feb and it's super fast and great fun but I prefer my Rumblefish for comfort due to a back issue. £1300 ONO, cost well over £2k to build.

probably 'cos you ride mainly in tight twitchy Mugdock stuff that is best ridden slow between tight trees and rocks ?
Posted 11 months ago # -
those niner steel frames look a bit to noodly for me. they look like the seatstays could bend when i sat on them.......
Posted 11 months ago # -
Ton when i get my nicolai 29er I'll visit my dad in Wakefield and bring a couple of bikes and can go for a spin

I 'might' be open to change my mind if enough people show interest to make it viable.
That pic of the Canfield Nimble 9 doesnt do it justice.
