    Ello,

    I am in need of a hydro hose cutting tool.

    All it’s for is cutting my brake lines, tried the kitchen knife which made a right mess of them.

    Any reason to get the Avid £70 one over the £10 Jagwire ?

    Normal rope cutters will do the job perfectly well

    Plastic pipe cutters are very effective – from DIY or plumbing store.

    I suspected something cheaper would be available.

    I mean who is going to pay £70 for a sharpe blade in a fancy box !?

    Sharp new blade in stanley knofe is all you need – don’t spend money on anything fancy!

    I used the clippers we use for our guinea pigs claws. Nice and neat and cheap from pets at home.
