long story short, i came off on the last downhill section of the monkey trail on sunday and chipped the middle bone in my thumb. not a major issue i know, more of a discomfort, but doctor was a bit vague as to how long i should stay off the bike.
i'm a bit concerned really as i'm down for the 50k at margam and this is the one event i live for all year(sad i know :()
any advice greatly welcomed i.e. strapping etc

I fractured the middle finger bone in the back of my hand (metacarpal?) 4 weeks ago and got on the bike for the first time yesterday. It was painful over bumpy stuff. I was advised 6 weeks and I should have listened.
