They look like Rock Shox Psylos – not sure which model though.

Scrub that – I don’t think Rock Shox used post mounts on Psylos.

They’re for the front of a bicycle. Probably a mountain bike. Don’t try and fit them to a motorbike.

You need to sort out the joints on those paving stones.

I think they may be Manitou – the way the crown is shaped where it meets stanction. Semi educated guess, I think I’m right…

I’d guess Manatou pre reverse arch. The only company I can think of using post mounts back when it looks like those forks were made.

Also crown and lcok out looks very manatou like. Old scarabs perhaps?

weren’t the original Manitou post mount standards ‘non-standard’?

There you go then, Manitou!?!

If they are Manitou’s the lack of reverse arch would mean pre-2001/2. I would have thought Manitou’s of that vintage would still have grease ports on the rear of the legs like my old 2000 Mars did

I’d’ve thought Psylos if it weren’t for the post mounts. Maybe older low-end Marzo or more niche, like White Brothers?

Cheers guys, looks like theres a few ideas to go on 🙂

when you say the post mounts are “low” would this prove to be a problem when fitting modern discs etc?

    thanks again, gary.

RST from about 2007. could be the M-29?? [edit] or F1RST if 26er? are they 29er forks?

They don’t look anything like Marzocchis to me.

I reckon Manitou due to the post mount, or a random Taiwanese maker – RST, Suntour etc.

The crown design is where you’ll work out it out – that curved shape where it meets the top of the stanchion is very distinctive.

Actually, hus my mouth, they may be RST (which if I remember rightly were made by Rock Shox at one point)

Loads of pics in this MTBR review link, they may be the 29er fork

Now I’ve looked at this link properly I’m pretty confident that they are RST’s
