A secure mount for a FF or PP helmet is a hell of a challenge!
I suggest a suction device like this:

a challenge that lumi/trout could take up maybe?
either that or i'm going to have a play and see what i can create, then make MILLIONS!!!!
dragons den wont know what hit them when i turn up wearing full body armour, full face helmet and turn on a liberator held on with pipe-cleaners and a hair scrunchy
I did manage to mount my light on a pisspot helmet - using velcro straps thru the vents.
TJ.
No worries. Once I have the completed O'ring solution, I may be talked into selling you one, if you can integrate it into your light design.

Fantastic, we all await your world conquering solution.
Oh, and the look on Duncan Bannatyne's face when he sees you in all that get-up.
I'm in
Well I just made up a mount using cable ties and a o ring that holds the light secure, will breakaway easily if hit and can be left on all the time.
Ta luminous. Dunno why I didn't think of that before DOH!
I've got an idea for a 'quick release' helmet mount, will do a drawing later if I remember

full face helmet mount is easy. just buy a replacement visor and drill a small hole in it to mount the light from.
anybody ever made a goggle strap mount?
lots of goggle strap mounts available for sports camcorders.... good place to start maybe?
And here is the completed light.

Initial measurements have indicated that output is approximately 1400 Lumens at Maximum, and well over 500 Lux at 5m.
Looks great - bit like a mini 601 which is a very good thing!
Out for a night ride with my 601 tonight with a mate who has also just got one - should be fun!
does look tasty
well done luminous!
That looks well smart Lumi
Nice and neat on the back too, Bet you're proud of the finished light
Cheers for the comments guys.
The blue is so nice, I just had to post the colour.
Surf-Mat, say hi for me, I'm guessing its their first ride with the 601.
One of you let me know how you get on.
What really pleases me with this light is that, on the numbers, it beats a Wilma 5, yet is significantly cheaper.
Cheers
Smudge.
Many thanks.
Bit snowed under right now, but will be in touch soon.
Cheers

That looks really SUPERB - admit to haven't reading all the thread / your website but will ask anyway ...
what's the weight
what run times v output
do you sell them compatiable with Lumicycle batteries?
tks

You're right, I need to update the website, that will probably happen during this coming weekend.
For now:
Light unit itself, weighs 116g, including the clamp.
With 5.2Amp Hour battery in its bag, combined weight is 400g
(this is the 401 lite)
Runtimes for a 401 lite.
Set to Maximum, which is 1400 lumens, or >500 Lux at 5 metres
expect 2 hrs 15 mins.
Set to Normal, 1000 lumens, or 380 Lux at 5 metres
expect 3 hrs 30 mins.
Set to low, 400 lumens, or 160 Lux at 5 metres
Longer....sorry, I can't remember the time, off the top of my head.
Runtimes are a bit conservative, and were taken using a battery which had been cycled several times before testing.
Cheers.
Oops.
Need to correct the figures above.
Lux should be:
Max: 350 @ 5m
Nor: 250 @ 5m
Low: 100 @ 5m
Cheers
