Headset especially if you're going hope. Fit and forget. If it will last a few more weeks and you can afford biking stuff next pay day then get the troos to make rides more enjoyable

old hope headsets are great IMO (I have 2) but I've heard the new design isn't so good.

Not gout one of these but RF deus stuff is usually amazing and this is very very cheap http://www.on-one-shop.co.uk/acatalog/info_HSRFDEBK.html 1/3 rrp. Get that and get the trousers too?

I'd vote for the Rf or else a cheap FSA with a lump of inner tube over the top (works for me) and chuck the rest (plus a few quid) at some nice warm roubaix bib longs..
