..mandolin
round hole preferred, wide'ish neck, blues/ bluegrass/celtic, maybe the odd diddle of classical. Budget around £150. Awesomely talentless and totally cack handed

So does the mandocaster - strat type thing - but i'm not keen on solid body. difficult finding anything out about them though

do a google for 'hobgoblin music' and see if there is one near you. they are excellent for things like that (at least the wadebridge branch is!).
