I haven’t done this since race since 2007 and fancy doing it again this year to see if my fitness has improved (or whether it is just the hardest race I have ever done!), and the fact that it used some really nice trails.

I’ve looked at the website http://www.gmbc.co.uk/ and there are no dates as yet, in fact there wasn’t one last year so is it still going ahead?

If it’s happening this year, it’s news to me! There’s the Whinlatter challenge in late March – http://www.whinlatterchallenge.co.uk/ , the trail centre up there is pretty good so could be a good event. It’s also part of the endurance series http://www.endurance-series.co.uk/ that SIP events are putting together.

I looked to do it last year –
the website said they were having a year off and it would be back for 2012 – usually around end of September/early Oct.

I live in the Lakes and have done the event a couple of times, but from what i have heard it is not on due to to problems with the forestry commission and rights of access for bikers to ride, I could be wrong(Hope I am)
I have a Email address for a guy who organises the Event i will contact him and see what he says, but i think its off…

I emailed the link on the website earlier this year and got no response 😥

Shame really, one of the nicest courses I’ve ridden for that type of event.
