Just heard about a company, Zerode bikes. Not sure about the bikes part, they only seem to make one..

I think it's the nicest looking dh bike I've ever seen. Although that might be cause it kinda looks like a ht.

WTF's that chain thing its got going on
It's got an internal hub as the main pivot so it runs SS to the wheel with the gears being handle with a hub in the centre of the frame.
Works well apparently.
Mondraker Summum or whatever its called is a pretty thing.
Most things from Intense (apart from the M3, fugly).
But the best? BMW Racelink.
Ew no, can't stand BMWs. And my mates got a summum, they're pretty forgettable.
I like the back end, not sure about the fuel tank top tube look though
There was only one bike that I found visually appealing at Fort Bill DH this year; the Canfield Formula 1 Jedi:

Must admit that Trek have it pretty nailed in the looks, too.

have to say that that is gorgeous. Even nicer in the flesh.
Mondraker summum
SC Carbon V10
Intense 951
Transition TR450
I think the Sunn Radical's a fine looking thing...
will you all laugh if i said orange 224! think mine is very nice indeed.
THat 29er DH bike Intense brought out (was that the 951?). The big wheels made it look extra long and low and just really really really fast. Lovely.
The TR450 is very nice too, but I hate the v10. It goes from curves to corners everywhere, and isn't helped with a halfords apollo-esque paint job.
The 224 could be nice, I'm yet to see one with a decent colour scheme going on though.
And what about this?
I've a soft spot for old DHRs as well, something very cool about that big square frame...

As if they finished it then went "doh! We didn't leave enough space for the engine!"

mine.
Think this is lovely.. And yes, I'm biased.
Just realised it's not a downhill bike... Oops.
Well it would have been a dh bike 10 years ago!

You knew that really, you just wanted to get that picture up because you're so proud right?

Evil Undead. Carbon swoopy loveliness.

Lahar

superco
And I think there's a pic of a DH bike frame somewhere on this photo
That Lahar was a funny looking thing really. It looked like it was designed by Kurt Geiger.
I met a chap riding one at Cwmcarn a few years back and apparently he was good friends with the company owner. It wasn't all that light and it did look a bit 'home made' but it was fascinating and in the flesh it really worked aesthetically.
I loved this when I had it for serveral years, most others said it was fugly.

Geetee, yes, that's it. And also have only just figured out how to post pics so it's still a novelty!!
Wtf is going on with some of those up there^^??? Jesus, my eyes hurt!!!!
Like the spesh, that trek looks fugly ( no offence meant).
hmm - thought this thread was going to be discussing Zerode bikes, not just any good looking DH bikes!
I think the Zerode looks really interesting. Massively high pivot, enabled by a high mounted gearbox. Very very interesting. I'd love to have a go!
In fact a single-speeded one would be pretty interesting too.
I like this one.
For those who like the Lahar - 'R555MAC' over at SDH breathed a bit of life into his...

That thing is outrageously slack!
Can't see if anyone has posted a pic above as I'm at work but mk1 Sintesi Bazooka, in orange with Mr T forks, Forumla discs etc. Retro yum.
I do like that Zerode
The Transition looks pretty slick as well.
