I’ve been running mine with Fox 32 140s and Flows on Pro 2 Evos for almost 4 years now. It’s had quite a battering in that time, lots of singletrack and local DH runs plus uplift days all including a fair bit of air (I’m no dirt jumper but it’s regularly dropping 3-5′ off things and casing smaller gaps). I’ve had the wheels trued once in that time – the front is still perfect but the back isn’t quite circular anymore although it’s perfect laterally (I hit a rock at Antur hard enough to pinch flat a UST tyre).
The Fox 32 is great on my local trails but it’s out of its depth at rockier gnarlier spots, both in stiffness and damper control. As my Spitfire does the away trips that isn’t a problem for me but if I was building a Soul up now I’d put a Pike or similar lightweight 34+mm stanchion fork on it. I’ve heard that Revs are a lot stiffer than Fox 32s so maybe they’d have enough extra controllability? In terms of fork length I’d go for 130-140mm depending on the A-C length – I prefer how it behaves with the slacker angles from a longer fork.
Regarding rims most would go with Arch EX as they’re as wide as the old Flows and should be strong enough – however if, like me, you would rather have a stiffer, stronger, wider, longer-lasting rim then Flow EX aren’t all that much heavier. Don’t think you can go wrong with either.
Its Pro 2 Evo hubs have been faultless as have the newer ones on my Spitfire – great hubs for UK conditions.
