BD23 4SQ park at the pub then go in after the ride

erm if your doing the old routes i think the red was 12km and it recommends 2-3hrs but it can be done alot quicker but its more fun if you just nip off down the new bits and see where they go
the big berms are on the black route near the slab at the top you dont need to be a pro to do them either my mate did them on a cx bike! look on google for the routesheres on of here a while ago

Ive been up there and done the red route recently, tbh compared to dalby forest gisburn red route is really short, well seemed it to me but theres alot better technical routes at gisburn, ive been told if you do the red route up until it gives you a bit of a decision to go onto the black by going downhill off the red, its alot better, but its improved since i last went

the firstmap is the "new" redroute at the top endof it you can fork off onto the black route whichyou should do... and then i joins upto the red again

Nah, left a bit for the rest of you to do. Got quite a lot done since Thursday, got the S bend before the trees all in and the bulk of a little bridge over the ditch. Coming along nicely. Trouble is the next dig isn't until the 13th so things will slow down a bit now.
Nigel P has plans for even more fiendish log rides a bit further down though so I can see things expanding.
Rather nice little video here of the digging and riding.

The one that you're building looks quite fiendish enough for me. Don't have a clue how to do the drop off, on a corner from the top tree to the bottom one. Might chicken out of that bit.

Had my first trip up here today.Parked up at the pub,which by the way is very good.Fine chilli and chips and a decent pint.
Going from the pub you end up doing two loops,the first i found to be very rough,i put this down to the weather.I'm sure the rain has washed away some of the smaller stuff.
The second loop was much better and the fast tight slalom type rutty sections were very good.
I also stummbled across a very good natural singletrack section....if you go up the climb were the in/out signs give you an option,turn left at the top,then go straight on past the right turn to go onto the red trail and down the fire road.About 300 yards past this is a turn left into the wood...wow very good indeed ! A good new bit of trail you trail building Hobbits have put in since I was there on Thursday.

If you're going to slag off peoples' hard work you could at least bother to spell it properly. I wonder if you even rode it all.
FWIW I think there are some really good bits and some not so good bits - the volunteer sections and the two black bits are great fun but quite a bit of the rest is so-so imo.

Did you not get a buzz out of the silly huge berms on that gully bit? One of the most fun sections of a trail centre that I've ridden. The slab and the little section of berms/jumps after it is pretty fun too, as is the optional black bit just before it that goes down to the big rocky berm thing.
A lot of the rest of it (apart from the volunteer bit) I wasn't too thrilled by but it was ok.

Still not sure what you were expecting though. I've not ridden many trail centres but I'd say a lot of it is on a par with Afan or Cwmcarn except for the sustained descents, that said there is still a lot of pedealling at those two centres to get to the descents. It's definitely better than Llandegla. There is good riding in the Peaks but you've still got to connect it up which surely isn't that thrilling.
