    Hi guys,

this is probably a stupid question, and I have been very lazy with my research, but as an intermediate rider I was wondering what the difference between the Giant reign and reign x was?

i am lookign to venture into my first full sus bike when I have the funds and just trying to do a bit of research. I have been recommended the reign.

Can someone explain and/or recommend which one would be ideal?

most my riding is shortish/med XC, Trail centre type stuff, with the occasional light DH

    thanks

Reign X has 20mm more travel, it's slacker, lower, beefier, longer, heavier etc. The normal Reign is more of a long travel trail bike, the Reign X is designed as more of a shorter travel freeride bike that you can actually pedal uphills too.

    ???

reign = 6.0 inches of travel, triple front chain ring.

reign x = 6.7 inches of travel, double front chain ring.

assuming x is running a 9 speed cassette coupled with more travel would indicate it's less capabale of going up hill and more capable of going down them.
