Does anybody know where i can get money changed.
I have lots of loose change (about 700 quid in coins) and want to get it changed for paper money without paying a fee or putting it in a bank.
    Any ideas much appreciated.

tax man would probably be interested! Try your local pub and see if they want some change

count it out into nice denomination bags, and ask if you can change it for a tenner or what ever each time you buy a paper or a stamp or what not – most people are reasonable, even helpful when they don't have to go out of their way to do so.

that stash will dwindle faster than you think

or tell the bank it's from a charity collection (how else would you end up with c£700 of shrapnell 😉 ) and they'll likely be helpful and exchange it without making a deposit.

I do that then put it in a pile of say £40 then when I fill the car with deisel, put £40 of fuel in and waltz into the kiosk. They can't really suck the fuel out (very easily!)
