Went to IceBike yesterday. Really liking the Genesis range – particularly like this: At a pinch I could get rid of all my bikes and get me one of these. Since I've never been able to get rid of a bike that's probably not going to happen though.

Timbur, it was SS for 2010 and there will be a 2011 SS version too but in yellow. The Alfine version should be just under a grand so perfect for Bike To Work.

You can always pretend it's SS by not changing gear – got all the other advantages ie. no mech and a tidy chain, just a bit of extra weight.

Saw these photos. Never noticed the silver stem, that must be a mistake, just for the display. It just looks wrong. I'm quite tempted to ditch my Flyer for this.

Hubs are silver, different colour bars is cool. I'd have plain metal cranks too though.

Doesn't matter that much – mine would be permanently covered in grime anyway.
