front shifter problem

hi
i am getting a little stressed with my orange five gears!

I am runnig slx with a double and bash. I don't seem to be able to get close to using all 9 gears without clipping the derailleur ( more like 4/5)

should the derailleur be square to the crank?

should i expect to get all 9 without rubbing the derailleur?

there will always be some gear combos that rub the front mech. unless you get a set of the Shimano DI2 electric self trimming ones that is... The front mech should be parallel to the chain rings.

Try fitting an SLX double specific front mech.
I got a whole lot less rubbage after switching from an XT tripple.
