  • Front crank – outer chain ring

    My Scott Sub 20 classic (700c wheel ) which I use for commuting to work off and on (32 miles round trip – open road with cycle lane) has a Shimano FC-M443 front crankset with 48-36-26 teeth. Derailleurs – front Deore, rear LX.

    Does anyne know if it’s possible to replace the 48 with a ring which has more teeth, eg 52 ? or is it more complicated than that ?
